The Best Things Money Can Buy
how to spend your money wisely
everyone always loves to talk about how to make money but I think it’s equally as important to talk about how to spend it
and as someone that started making decent money at 21 years old (23 now) I can share some of the things that I spend money on that have been worth it time and time again
no, this won’t be some ignorant email where I tell you to just go buy a lambo to use. in your marketing, this will be actually what I spend my money on
so let’s dive into it:
1) information and access
I have spent well over $100,000 on buying courses / information /coaching from people online
some have been life changing, some have been garbage, but as long as you can pull one piece of helpful info, it’s a W
overall, buying information has been a huge net positive for me
but it also allows you to buy ACCESS, to people, to places, events, etc
I actually just invested $24,000 into coaching ($8,000/mo for 3 months) but the main reason I actually bought it was for access
this is a guy that is very well connected, very well known online (you all probably know him) and I wanted him to be in my contact list, and I got him to agree to be in a youtube video of mine
I have no doubt the $24,000 I will pay him will return me much more than that, most likely directly monetarily but also all the people he will introduce me too, the new circles I’ll get into, and the knowledge he’ll be teaching me
don’t go spend your last thousand dollars on a course, not what I’m saying, but if you have some money stashed away, or you start to make some money, budget some of it towards buying new information and access to people that can help you
this has been a large part of my success - this world is pay to play
2) Any Form of Convenience
I don’t like to cook, I don’t like going to the grocery store, prepping, cooking, and cleaning
so I go out or doordash almost every meal and probably spend $2,000/mo ish on food
expensive? Yes but the convenience it provides me (on top of being better tasting food than I can cook) is well worth it for me and something I don’t even think about
but any form of convenience is worth it once you’re making money, have a cleaner come once a week, hire a personal trainer, meal prep, etc
use money to take away any annoying, mundane, repetitive tasks so you can keep your mind clear and focus on business and other important areas of your life
3) Nice Clothes
When I moved to miami I didn’t have any nice clothes and wore my saint louis tennis gear everywhere
you don’t even need expensive clothes you just need nice clothes to look presentable for different occasions and to look the part of certain rooms you’re trying to get into
whether it’s a business dinner, investor meeting, networking event, you could go to zara and get your entire wardrobe for like $500 and be set
the expensive thing I’ll add here is having a luxury watch (rolex, AP, Patek) eventually does work as a convo starter / signal that you’ve at least done something
people are much more impressed with watches than cars I’ve noticed (probably because most cars are financed and no one really finances watches)
4) Investments
I can’t tell you where to put your money, but make sure you’re tucking away 20-40% per month to invest depending how aggressive you want to be
the only thing better than making money is keeping it and multiplying it
5) Experiences
what good is money if you never enjoy it? allocate a part of your budget for experiences, traveling, vacations, going out, whatever it is you enjoy
in my experience, these are the best ways you can spend your money once you have a solid income
I’ve never regretted making any of these purchases and will continue to do so
this email was slightly different than usual, so hit me with a reply of what you thought about this
interesting? not interesting? more emails like this? let me know
happy thursday
