How to Survive Online Biz Recession

it's happening in real time

something very obvious is happening

it seems as if everyone wants to start an online business now

and understandably so, people are waking up the many of the harsh realities of this world

but in 2016 it was really just drop shipping and a bit of agency

now there’s drop shipping, amazon FBA, SMMA, ai automation agency, growth operators, high ticket closing, freelance copywriting, no code dev, no code SaaS, short form content agency, content creators, and so on so fourth

and we’re having extreme masses of people trying each model and majority of them are doomed for failure

here’s why:

1) they don’t have an edge - their offer is a copy paste of every single other person they’re competing against therefore they will never see much success

you need to learn how to position yourself in a way that gives you an edge

example:

“I’m a no code developer, I can build your SaaS”

but if you know how to position yourself:

“I’m a fractional CTO for influencers, we will build your idea and consult you on how to optimize the UI/UX to make the product easy to use and share thus reducing churn and increasing referral marketing”

BIG difference - the ladder is the guy that will get all the clients

the caveat is… you need to then put in the extra work to learn about how UI/UX effects churn and study great UI/UX and actually be able to consult here as well as build it

2) They don’t care about providing value, they just want to make money

be honest: when you’ve started a business has it come from a place of “wow I really want to provide value and help people”

or

“I want to make a $hit ton of money so I can drive a fast car like my favorite IG scammer guru I follow”

because lets be real - we’ve all fallen for the IG lifestyle marketing before - I know I did when I started

when you can GENUINELY shift your focus away from making money and actually have the goal of becoming incredibly value to a specific marketplace

funny enough, THEN you make a ton of money

I finally realized this when I built Closify - I was genuinely trying to revolutionize and provide value in the sales recruitment space

3) Listening to the wrong people

very very very few people that teach online still actively do what they talk about

and so their info is outdated or they were never good at it to start with

I actively run my venture studio, am a minority partner in SaaS companies, and I’m building my own new SaaS

and share actual insights into those companies - there is zero lifestyle marketing on any of my socials and I still gained a collective 200k followers in a year

so if you want to learn how to fix these and you actually want to become a valuable person

see you inside
