there have been some GIANT shifts in the software space in recent years

the old way of doing software was:

• raise venture capital money

• hire a ton of engineers

• take 6-12 months to build an MVP

• focus solely on revenue, not profit

• hope and pray for a giant exit some day to make a return for VC

all while having your investors breathing down your neck and having to report to them…

this is not freedom, this is a low % play at getting rich, this is NOT for 99% + of people

and not only does this allow you to pay yourself a nice lil bit per month - you still are also building an asset you can sell for $250,000 to $500,000 and then rinse and repeat

is that the sexy giant exit that venture capital firms want? no

but you did it with basically no risk, no investors breathing down your neck, your cash flow positive and profitable (80-90% margin) and can sell it whenever you want

this path provides you more freedom, and a higher $ chance of seeing good money

most people’s lives would be changed by a lump sum payment of $250k

is it retirement money? no

but your living expenses are covered for a few years now for you to go for something bigger

these 1 or 2 person companies are the future

you can use AI for SO much now…
