I just got back to Miami for the month and I woke up at 6:30am to go walk on the beach and watch the sunrise

and it reminded me of when I first moved to Miami at 20 years old (25 now… yikes) and used to do the same and be amazed at my life

in my walk this morning, I realized I haven’t sent many newsletters the last year, and I thought I’d explain why and reintroduce myself to you

so hey, my names Alex, I’m 25 from Ohio and started my first company tryclosify.com out of my college dorm room while playing D1 tennis in 2021 (I was a high ticket closer in 2020, and tried drop shipping in 2019, I’ve been at this for 7 years)

Closify made me my first million dollars, allowed me to drop out of school, and move to Miami for the first time in September of 2021

I grew Closify entirely from using our own product and building an end to end commission only sales team, as well as a little SEO, and hit 125k in a month at our peak, I exited the majority of the company in March of 2023 for a few reasons

1. I was a bit burnt out and not enjoying it as much

2. We were bottlenecked on the supply side (finding good sales reps)

3. I believed something bigger and better was around the corner

Right after the exit went through, maybe a week later, I blew up on Instagram from 0-100k followers on IG in 90 days, I landed brand deals and UGC deals with companies like Wix, Hubspot, etc

my brand deals alone paid 6 figures per year, which opened my eyes to how much easier it is to make money with content rather than building a business

off the back of this new following, I built a software development agency that we treat as a venture studio, that I’ve still been running now for the last 3 years and is the main cashflow business

so 2023 and 2024 I was just doing brand deals + dev agency and living life, which…. gets boring

I learned that without a giant target in front of me - I don’t get enough mental stimulation and I simply get bored

In this time I worked only 10 hours a week maybe because all I had to do was make content (in this time I also had a little pro pickleball stint haha)

so end of 2024 I began working on Payd, an app that connected creators to brands where they got paid for every 1,000 views they generated

it launched in Jan of 2025 (while I was in the middle of a lawsuit hahahah) and hit a 6 figure run rate by March, and then in April I was acqui-hired by Whop and moved to New York City

This is when I stopped sending as many newsletters and not everyone still knows this, but it was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made

Many entrepreneurs I’ve found think they’re a lot better than they are, and ego is often the start of people’s downfall

I had built two businesses to over $1m/yr (Closify and Dev Agency) but after talking with my mentor and business partner I basically had two choices

1. Keep building 1-2m/yr lifestyle businesses, work minimal hours and enjoy life (what I had been doing)

2. Go learn at a billion dollar company, so that after I can build something way bigger (moonshot / legacy)

As I pondered it, I realized I’m way too young to just keep living this “lifestyle business” lifestyle, and way too young to not go for one moon shot

Right now I could still dedicate the next 5-10 years of my life to building something BIG, but in 10 years I probably won’t have that luxury

so I went and I learned, and I learned a lot, and am now ready to build something….big.

Remember what I said about content, it is the easiest way for anyone in the world to make money

Not everyone can or should start a business, it’s hard, it’s stressful, it takes your full focus and dedication

But literally ANYONE can make money by creating content, whether it’s:

1. UGC and just making ad creatives for brands you don’t even need to post

2. Tik Tok Shop

3. Brand deals

4. Live selling on Tik Tok or Whatnot

I believe everyone needs supplemental income now, people don’t make enough from their jobs, so they need some other way to make some money and I can’t think of a vision I’m more passionate about than how do I help the everyday person put an extra couple thousands bucks in their pocket every month with content
