I Turned $200 Into $1M

five years ago is when I started my first real company, I had done some online sales and ran a sales agency for some time and I was ready to swing bigger

I was a sophomore in college (D1 tennis player too btw) and totally failing in school (remote covid era) and trying to juggle school, tennis, and building a business

From running my sales agency, all these businesses kept telling me they didn’t want an agency, they wanted to hire internal sales reps and they did not want to pay loads of money to a recruiter, and they didn’t want to do it themselves

now the problem was, I wasn’t fully broke, but I didn’t have the capital to hire a development team, and then my buddy told me about no code tools

Here’s a picture of what the second iteration of Closify looked like (built on webflow with custom CMS)

this cost like $200 to build… (this was from April of 2021) and a year later, this company made almost of 100k in a month, and in May of 2022 it did 125k in a month

it wasn’t until July of 2021 that we were fully built on bubble and a very solid product, we made our first ~50k on this webflow site…….

I validated it, proved I could close people on this MVP, and then I landed a stud partner that would end up teaching me a lot of what I know today, I’ll add a pic

I was able to close Luca Netz to come on board as a business partner (if you don’t know Luca, just google him lol) and then this company went on to make me my first million dollars

It allowed me to drop out of college, move to Miami, the whole nine yards, but this isn’t why I tell this story

I tell this to you, because there’s truly NO EXCUSE now to not start a successful software company, I had to use crappy tools like softr, webflow, stacker, and then bubble etc which was hard to learn

You now have access to claude code, cursor, lovable, which are INFINITELY better and relatively inexpensive, and not only can they build your software for you

they can make your landing pages, write your outreach copy, find you leads, build your content strategy

the only caveat is you need to know how to prompt these tools and provide sufficient data for them to work well

I took my last 6 years of business, and all my companies data of what has worked and built agents and internal tools that do everything for you

• validate your saas idea

• build the prompts to build your idea

• give you scripts for content

• find you leads

• write your outreach copy

• and much more

If 20 year old Alex could start a successful company with crappy no code tools, while a full time D1 student athlete and go on to make money with it
