How to Win the Lottery

A good friend of mine Alex Sedlak once made a video where he said

“if you could enter the lottery, with unlimited raffle tickets that are all free, you’d do it right?”

and of course, everyone was like yes if lottery tickets were free, and I could get unlimited surely I’d do it because that’d essentially guarantee I win

but the thing is this actually exists in a different form

it’s free to post, you can post as many times as you want, and you only need ONE video to blow up to change your life

it seriously is like a lottery that you can rig, because not only can you just post more frequently, you can also learn the science behind going viral

and I don’t want to gate keep everything, so here’s your guide to win the lottery:

Instagram & Tik Tok:

post 1-3 times per day, your #1 metric for going viral on short form videos is SHARES you need to make content that’s educational but also entertaining enough to be shared

behind this metric is SAVES and average watch time, here’s a hack to get more saves

put your videos into step by step guides

you’ll notice many of my videos go

etc for example “you want to start a SaaS but don’t have an idea? I got you, Step 1…”

here’s some viral hooks for you to steal

“you want to {desired outcome} but {biggest roadblock} I got you”

“Here’s how to do X even if Y”

“Here’s how to do X in 3 simple steps”

as well as use lots of analogies and also name drop relevant people in your niche

Youtube:

post 1x a week (consistency is important)

use vidIQ to find high search volume low competition key words to rank for

then include those keywords in your title and description

your thumbnail + title tell the “big promise” of your video, the first 30 seconds of your video gasses up the big promise, and the rest of the video delivers the promise

Youtube your biggest metric is click through rate (number of people that see your video that actually click on it) followed by average watch time again

this is how to do content at a high level, if you do this consistently and just follow these basic principles eventually you’ll see success

it does go much deeper into your pacing, tonality, body language, and all of the language you use, every word should be intentional

and then once you have some views and followers coming in

you can get PAYD (foreshadowing)
