How to Build a Full SaaS in 30 Min

I’m an advisor for create(dot)xyz and they recently rolled out the ability to easily integrate stripe to begin accepting payments for whatever you build

but I asked the CEO of create, “can we ACTUALLY build something that we could go out and sell and get users on?”

and being up to the challenge, he said let’s do a youtube video, don’t tell me what you want to build before and we’ll build it an under an hour

I told him I wanted to build the webapp version of CalAI, essentially being able to take pictures of food to get how many calories it is, store how many calories I’m eating, and how to work towards my weight goals

and he went to work prompting create, just typing in plain english exactly what he wanted, and very quickly he first got the photo functionality ready

the biggest part was hooking up stripe and saying what a free user can do verus paid user

this part is the most complex part that still didn’t required ANY code

but as we were going, I was like, hold up Dhruv, let’s talk about debugging because someone like me would have no clue how to debug this as I can’t code

and funny enough, he ran into issues a few times, when you encounter an error, first you can just say “fix” and it’ll try to fix it

but if that doesn’t work, you can take a screenshot of what’s not working, explain what’s not working, and then create will be able to figure out how to fix it

and in 35 min, we built:

• a landing page to promote the software

• the full application with features only for paid users and free features

• a data base to store all user info

• an upsell page inside the webapp

• live payments with stripe (could have began marketing it today)

and we did all of that in….35 min, imagine if we kept going and prompting it we could have continued to improve it

and this is what you can do, you can build the B2c webapp version of some viral mobile app, build it very quickly, begin marketing it, make some money, and then pay a team to turn it into a mobile app

or if you’re building a B2B SaaS you can obviously stay as a web app

you can legit ask create “hey I want to integrate with this API, how do I do that?” and create will tell you how…
