Getting Rich in Chaos

now is the time to lock in

it’s pretty hard to argue that things aren’t chaotic right now, no one really knows what’s happening, we’re in a trade war with China, giant figures are fear mongering

calling for a financial disaster “way worse” than 2008 and many people are just terrified, going back to their ramen and putting their heads in the sand…

and I get it, people are telling you that you should be scared, and maybe you heard about how scary 2008 was if you’re like me and you were too young then to realize what was happening

or maybe you lived through it and it was a turbulent time, but even in total disaster, there’s always opportunity

this is a time to really sit, think, and be logical, to go study every crash ever, in detail:

where was spending reduced first? specifically to businesses? specifically to consumers?

where does spending increase or at least stay the same?

here’s a real time example of how my brain is working during all of this:

people are scared, want to penny pinch, and save money and or make more money

I would create a simple B2C mobile app to track finances for budgeting and investing

it would have a photo element where you can scan receipts, and talk to an ai assistant the same way you would chatgpt about where you’re spending money

“hey I just spent $100 on groceries for the week please add that” and it categorizes it

then gamify it, show the streak of them logging in daily and saving money, add in trivia investing questions to affirm they’re doing the right thing

market it like “if duolingo and rocketmoney had a baby” or something to hit that gen Z audience

sling it for $25/yr with a self selling onboarding flow and hard paywall, immediately ask them to invite friends to earn commission (make more money) and design the screens in a way where it’s easy to share to social media to create a viral loop

and boom - now in this time of doom and gloom, I built a product that helps people and adds security and peace of mind and now I’m capitalizing on this opportunity

and this is attractive app to sell someday because you have data on where consumers are spending money

this is just ONE example my brain came up with while writing this email off my 3rd americano (which btw I’m increasing my coffee intake rn to save this economy)

Winston Churchill quoted “never let a good crisis go to waste”

there are winners and losers in life, and winners just go out and win

they don’t stick their head in the sand

they don’t whine and moan about all this crap that’s out of their control

they don’t go blaming other people for their circumstances

they just go out and win

I might actually go out and build that app… it’s a fire idea ngl lol

now I was going to wrap it up there but now my mind is just still going

you shouldn’t be worried about losing money right now

money is very easy to get back, and very easy to make once you have these four pillars which should be your focus

  1. skills - what are you REALLY good at that people will pay you for

  2. network - who do you know? That you can sell your service to? That can connect you to people to sell to, that can help you raise money, etc.

  3. Audience - build your brand, get 1,000 loyal, true followers and you’ll never worry about money again

  4. Capital - once you have some money, USE your money how it actually should be used, as a tool to expand 1-3, use it to buy training for more skills, use it to network with better people, use it to grow your audience, it all compounds

Once you get to a certain point of having all 4 of these, you ARE unstoppable, you could go to $0 but if you have a skill and people you can call to sell it you can get back on your feet in no time

obviously no one wants to go to zero, but you should have such radical confidence you could get it all back that there’s no fear, because fear kills ambition

so while many people are telling you to be scared, stick your head in the sand, cut back that spending, I’m telling you to say screw the noise and focus on becoming great

there will be opportunities and if you’re reading this I believe you’re capable of capitalizing and I’m here for you as a resource and to lend a helping hand if you need
