Why You Should Drive 100MPH in School Zones

I was driving to tennis practice this morning

and I wasn’t actually driving 100MPH in a school zone (that was to get your attention)

but I may have been going a few singular digits over the speed limit

and it made me realize, driving faster truly is safer because you have to look behind you less

you KNOW you’re passing these other cars and can see the rest of the cars in front of you

versus, if you’re driving the speed limit or slower, people are passing you, coming up on you fast, and you have to be very cautious switching lanes

always looking in your rear view mirror, you have to spend so much time looking behind you

this got me thinking - life is the same.

people move too slowly through life, with ZERO urgency, and because of this, they’re always looking behind them, into the past

and changing lanes is like making a decision, rather than just sprinting forward and doing it, they dwell on the past, they overthink, they’re all up in their own heads, and they end up just staying in their lane for too long

you cannot live life going around like you’re driving a prius, living life in the slow lane, unable to make decisions, dwelling in the past, in a constant rotation of mediocrity

every successful person I know lives in the fast lane

decisions are made quickly, they do not dwell on the past, they’re not overthinking things

it’s act act act

move forward forward forward

you should be moving so much faster than everyone around you

that you don’t have to look behind you

for legal reasons please do not drive 100mph in school zones

but you get the point

get information, implement it, look at the data, alter course, go forward

but you MUST keep advancing forward

at any given moment you’re 3-5 years away from your absolute dream life but if and only if you’re constantly moving forward!!
